What's In Store This May? Shopper Activations
This month’s activations are appropriately turning the heat up for winter with outdoor heaters, soup cups, SKINS body suits and an S3 Sportback Audi “hot hatch” being offered as prizes.
It appears that Coles is still maintaining its clear store policy but there are hints that this might be about to change - watch this space for future announcements.
Gatorade has teamed up with SKINS, a nice sporting synergy, for a total pool prize of $42,837.48. Open to all people 13+ years, participants have to purchase any Gatorade product to be eligible and go in to the draw by SMS or mailing their details. There are 9 draws each day during the promotion period, making 252 prizes in all of either SKINS long tights or long sleeve tops. Multiple entries are allowed of 5 per day per person.
Continental is giving entrants a chance to get their own personalized mug in this self-liquidating promotion. All entrants need to do is purchase any six packs of Continental Cup-a-Soup and register online. There are 75,000 cups available at $9.95RRP, adding up to a total prize pool of $746,250. Continental are supporting the promotion with a high frequency TV campaign that will help participants have a bit of fun personalising their mug, with a bunch of office workers with nicknames like “the major of shine town”, “ginger ninja”, “goggles” and my favourite “Rob”, the one with the big ears.
Continental Cup-a-Soup is giving participants a chance to win one of 85 Gasmate Outdoor Heaters in a game of skill (one each per participating store). Entrants need to fill out the entry form with their details and in 15 words or less say why they “love Continental Cup-a-Soup” and place this in the in-store entry box. The manager, or a representative of the promoter, in each of the individual stores will judge a winner
Kraft are offering the chance to win 10 x $1,000 cash prizes with any two purchases of their products. Consumers can SMS or mail in their details and entries are restricted to one prize per person over the promotional period.
5 Gum (The Wrigley Company) is promoting the chance to win one of 55 GAME store vouchers - total prize pool of $27,500. There will be 55 daily draws in all and all participating entries will be included rolled-over in to the subsequent draws. Entrants need to purchase two packs of 5Gum and SMS, or go online to enter.
Coca Cola is continuing to run their “Win a genuine World Cup Match Ball” as reported in previous editions of “What’s in Store”.
Flora Pro-active is giving participants a chance to win a $250 Red Balloon Give An Experience voucher from the many on offer on their website http://www.redballoon.com.au. There are 10 to be won every week with a total prize pool valued at $10,000. Entries in each draw will not be entered into subsequent draws. Those wanting to enter will have to purchase any Flora pro-Active product and mail in the completed entry form.
Ego, Moov Head Lice is running a competition offering 3 x $5,000 prizes to the winner’s nominated community project. All the participant has to do is detail in 100 words or less what their child’s school or community group would do with $5,000. Entry is by filling in the in-store entry form and attachments (photos, collages, drawings, models etc.). The promoter will select winners based on merit.
