What's In Store This August? Shopper Activation
We all love freebies and giveaways, and so do buyers! Let's take a look at who is giving what away during August and September - you might find a great idea for your next competition!
Maggi is giving away 100 Braun Multiquick Hand Mixers valued at $199RRP each, with a single purchase of any 3 of their Recipe Mixes. Unilever are offering bonus family movie passes with the purchase of any 3 of their body wash products of Lynx, Lux and Dove brands (Family movie tickets consist of 2 adult and 2 children and are valued at $71.00 each). Claims are limited to the first 1500, which make the total prize pool value of $106,500. There is also a limit of one prize per family and entry is via the in-store form.
Woolworths, in a novel way, are giving away 5 trips to the Mediterranean and 200 x $100 WISH Gift Cards with the purchase of 4 products in a single transaction from a broad range spanning many departments, such as: Deli and seafood; cheese, eggs and dairy; fresh vegies; meat; dips and antipasto; bakery; ready meats; desserts; general grocery items; drinks and juices. Entry is via the online site and a prize draw to select the winners is performed each week for the five weeks of the competition. Woolworths are helping mums with some assistance from Ashleigh Whitlam, the Fresh Food Mum, to prepare cook ahead recipes that can be stored in the fridge or frozen for future consumption by the family.
Lipton is promoting their new LARGE LEAF premium tea that “you have been waiting for” that comes in a novel pyramid-shaped bag. They’ve got me hooked!
John West Tuna and Beans have put together some healthy recipes just in time for spring and the beach.
Eco Store has put out a useful brochure promoting their environmentally friendly dish washing products, which don’t leave any toxic residue on the dishes post washing.
Fudge is promoting its Skyscraper medium hold 'apple & coconut' aerosol hairspray, as well as, a good-looking product guide booklet.
Colgate has produced an educational brochure to promote their Sensitive Pro-Relief and its exclusive Pro-Argin technology designed to relieve the pain from sensitive teeth.
These are all excellent ideas and examples of promotions that really grab the attention of consumers and buyers and encourage them to purchase the product. I am sure a few of you will be heading in store to Woolworths to try your luck!
